Liverpool Mutual Homes
Project
Delivery of effective and efficient ICT systems to Liverpool Mutual Homes (LMH).
Background
LMH is a Registered Social Landlord or Housing Association. It took over approximately 15,000 homes in the Liverpool area following completion of a stock transfer through a large scale voluntary transfer agreement with Liverpool City Council.
Brief
LMH needed effective and efficient ICT systems to enable it to control budgets and resources, monitor the performance of contractors and provide timely and accurate information of all aspects of service delivery against its business plan.
Results
LMH conducted a full review of its ICT needs and concluded that it required a comprehensive housing management system which included:
- Property/Asset management.
- Tenant database.
- Responsive repairs and planned maintenance management.
- Rent accounting and arrears management.
- Housing allocations and void management.
- Interfaces.
- Performance and management reporting.
- Anti-social behaviour management capability.
- Business process systems, including Finance, HR and Payroll.
- An ICT network and supporting infrastructure including telephony, standard desktop and email systems.
Liverpool Direct Limited upgraded the existing Orchard application allowing LMH and its Housing Management contractors to use this application on the LMH network. In addition, LDL delivered a number of extra components to enhance the existing ICT infrastructure, such as asset and maintenance modules, finance, accounting and payment systems, data warehouse facility, new PC’s and desktop software. The solution design uses VOIP technology for telephony and call centre applications, keeping down costs for LMH.
All personal data is held on a central network, accessed via file servers attached to a corporate Secure Area Network. Internet access is delivered via the PC’s local Internet Explorer application with standard filtering policies in place to protect LMH from hackers, attacks and viruses.
Testimonial
"LDL has provided a comprehensive and high quality service to deliver the final ICT solution to meet LMH's requirements. The quality of technical advice and project management support throughout the project has been first class, enabling LMH to meet a challenging stock transfer development timetable.'
