Background

Liverpool Direct Limited provides a range of employee services to BT LGS Ltd.

Brief

To fulfil contracts for the Security Industry Authority and Defra, BT LGS Ltd instructed Liverpool Direct Limited’s HR and Payroll Service to recruit and select qualified staff within a short time frame.

Results

Recruitment activities for BT LGS Ltd have been ongoing since the recruitment of the management team in April 2007.

The first recruitment drive took place in June and July 2007, and any posts not filled were advertised and recruited to by October 2007.

To date, 52 staff have been recruited for the Security Industry Authority project and four staff have been recruited for the Defra contact centre project.

Recruitment services offered included:

  • Pre-recruitment meetings for planning and quality control.
  • Liaison with all parties involved.
  • Reviewing Job Descriptions and Person Specifications.
  • Advertisement internally and externally.
  • Equal opportunities monitoring.
  • Collation and distribution of application forms for short-listing.
  • Ensuring recruitment timescales were adhered to.
  • Issuing interview letters for short-listed candidates.
  • Issuing conditional offers of employment, statements of particulars, reference requests, security documentation and final appointment letters to all successful candidates.
  • Processing security clearances for successful candidates.
  • Chasing outstanding documentation (references, security etc).
  • Ensuring new starters were set up on Payroll.
  • Ensuring electronic information was up to date.
  • Providing regular updates.
  • General advice and guidance throughout the whole recruitment process.
