Liverpool Direct requires an experienced Solution Architect to join it's ICT Service to develop and maintain the ICT infrastructure strategy for the service, provide technology leadership on large projects and contribute to the overall LDL technology strategy.

The ideal candidate will be an experience IT professional and will have:-

  • Experience of designing and delivering large-scale ICT infrastructure deployments.

  • Professional IT qualification and previous strategic development role.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of server, network, desktop, storage, virtualisation and internet technlogies.

  • Clear evidence of designing and managing the deployment of large scale Microsoft desktop (1,000 plus users) services.

  • Clear evidence of designing and delivering virtual desktop/thin client/Citrix technology on a large scale (1,000 plus users).

  • Current professional certifications for Microsoft and Cisco technologies.

  • Excellent influencing and communication skills resulting in exceptional stakeholder management.

  • High levels of drive and determination, natural problem solving skills, good judgement and decision-making, strong leadership and vision.

  • Excellent, confident communicator with first class customer/client facing skills.

  • Vertical learner who quickly gains an understanding of client's requirements in order to offer value to the business.

  • Can evaluate the current system and progress to a detailed system specification including design and development.

  • Can evaluate and agree the infrastructure required against the current technology strategy.

  • Has shown the ability to clearly define and document strategic direction

  • Is Articulate

  • Has commercial and business acumen

  • Has experience of changing cultures

  • Has a 'Can do attitude'.
