Liverpool Direct Limited short listed for three awards at the BCS Annual Awards 2009

Liverpool Direct Limited has been short listed for three awards at this year’s British Computing Society (BCS) Awards. The short listed categories include; Best IT Strategy, Project Manager of the Year and ICT Service Support Professional.
The criteria of these national Awards are to recognise organisations and individuals that have demonstrated excellence in the IT industry during the past 12 months. The Awards seek to highlight those organisations who have contributed to the development and deployment of innovative ICT systems that improve business operations or enhance public services.
Liverpool Direct Limited’s entries demonstrated it’s highly successful and innovative work of its ICT Service and demonstrable commitment to its customers which ensures delivery of service excellence.
Cllr Warren Bradley, Leader of Liverpool City Council and a Board Director of Liverpool Direct Limited stated: “This is a great achievement for Liverpool Direct Limited’s ICT Service. To be short listed for not one but three highly respected national Awards further testifies Liverpool Direct Limited’s commitment to improving performance and also demonstrates competitiveness in their sector. To also be short listed for two individual awards; for Mark Porton, Programme & Service Delivery Manager and Mike Tyrie, Head of ICT Programmes recognises the calibre of the staff we have at Liverpool Direct Limited.”
This event creates a platform for Liverpool Direct Limited to showcase and celebrate best practice, innovation and excellence. The winners will be announced at a prize giving ceremony, to be held at the Battersea Park Events Arena in London on Thursday 12 November 2009.
